Vacancy : Production Assistant, Near Buckfastleigh
An exciting and unusual opportunity has arisen for a production assistant at
Aromatika, to assist in the production of hand made organic and natural
cosmetics. The role is based in our production unit near Buckfastleigh. It is NOT a
factory production line as our products are hand made in small batches with care
and attention to detail.
This role is interesting and varied and as stated above involves assisting in
making products for Aromatika, a local business which specialises in making high
quality organic and natural skin care products. All products are hand made in
small batches and includes potting and labelling along with various administrative processes associated. You will be taught to make some product lines and work closely with the owner whilst doing so. An interest in natural skin
care is preferred and an aptitude to learn quicky, but you do not have to have
previous experience of making products, although it would be considered a
bonus if you do.
In addition to making products you need to have excellent IT skills as the role
does include using our stock control system and labelling software and the
microsoft suite particularly outlook and excel. Good telephone skills are also
essential as you will speak with our wholesale client base alongside staff at our
chain of 6 boutiques & salons.
This is a very busy but varied and rewarding role and an opportunity to work for
a small local business which is fast growing.
Hours can be flexible and may or may not include weekends depending on
candidate. Until now production has been operated on a monday to friday basis
09.00 - 17.00. Annual leave and sick pay are payable in accordance with
government guidelines. Other perks of the job include free treatments, free
products, staff discount. A pension scheme will be introduced in due course.
We are looking for enthusiastic bright individuals with a proactive 'can do'
approach and an ability to work under pressure at times and quickly is essential.
Aromatika is constantly growing so there will be future opportunities to develop
your career as the business grows.
